Brantley gets a lot of grief here, but he does know pitching. Cueto looked fantastic the first 2 innings, but he immediately noticed that Cueto was falling off towards 1st to start the 3rd inning. Cueto immediately started throwing the ball off the plate on the 3rd base side...just like Brantley said he would.

Walks in a run. 1-0 Mets.

How is it that Brantley can see this but Price can't? I just don't get that.

Maybe he did and that's what the mound visit was about after Pagan walked.

I wouldn't say Price can't see it. There's a big difference in seeing a pitcher making a mistake and being able to get him out of that habit...

Sorry, didn't hear that Price went out there. I hope he did notice it.

According to Gamecast, he's thrown one pitch in the strike zone in this at bat.

Cueto will never be anything more than #5 starter material until he refines his command -- and it sounds like THAT won't happen until he works out a delivery that he can repeat throughout a game.

The sad truth for Reds fans, though, is that these are the same issues that he's had since comnig up to the majors -- and Cueto's shown little to no improvement in that regard.

Nice save by Cueto only allows the one run.

Since the St. Louis series Reds have scored 3, 3, 0, 3, 4, including two extra innings tilts.

Wish the Reds could score some runs.

The Reds have some power arms but I'm amazed at the lack of confidence in the fastball. Cueto is throwing 95 mph and he opts for a 3-2 slider against Alex Cora... There is no good excuse for that with Reyes, Bay, and Wright to follow.

Somebody might need to take over PBP, I'm having all sorts of connection issues with Redszone. My internet connection is fine...it's Redszone for some reason.
