Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Thanks, RMR. I know how painful that must be to post the Reds lineup.

Don't get the Gomes love vs. righties.

For those like me who didn't know...Castro just got the callup by the Cubs today and is starting at SS...one of their top prospects.

Silva is getting paid $12,750,000 to pitch for the Cubs this year.

Chew on that for a moment.

Planning on heading down to the game. Let's hope this one moves along quickly, because they're calling for strong storms tonight. If we can get this one in at around 2.5 hours, there's a good shot they'll finish it. If this game drags on for well over three hours, the weather could get dicey.

It would be worth paying him that to not pitch.

Bailey strikes out a guy per innning but also gives up a hit per inning.

    How is that possible?

He's got very inconsistent breaking stuff. When it bites, see ya. When it stays flat, it's very hittable.

    Re: 5-7-10 Cubs at Reds

Well, Homer got through it. He has trouble early and picks up steam in the middle innings. A lot of really good pitchers have had that MO. Just needs to get a little better command to go later in the game.
