Here was a blurb on Berkman agreeing to waive his no-trade:

May 6 4:42 PM PT5:42 PM MT6:42 PM CT7:42 PM ET11:42 PM GMT7:42 AM 北京时间4:42 PM MST6:42 PM EST-Berkman would be open to waiving his no-trade clause if the Houston Astros asked him.
Analysis: The slugger, who first made the comments to the Houston Chronicle on Wednesday, reiterated those sentiments Thursday before a game against Arizona. One team said to be interested in his services could be the Chicago White Sox.

I really don't think the Astros trade him in the division though. The Reds would need to vastly overpay for that, and make it not worth it. Also, Berkman began to show signs of slowing last year, and it has continued down so far this year.
The man can sure hit in Great American Ballpark though. Although he would have to play left field because of Votto. I see zero chance of this happening.

    DING! DING!

And even then, sometimes the computer knows they are stupid and declines them!

Since Homer Bailey is struggling, nobody is trading their prospects for him, let alone proven ML-ers.

    Grady Sizemore?
Homer Bailey, Daniel Dorn, Jeremy Horst and Cody Puckett for Grady Sizemore?
Gimme a break! MLB would quash that trade even if Jocketty had naked pictures of Shapiro with a goat and accepted that trade.

I think that in a year or two, one of these guys - Frazier, Dorn, Valaika, Cumberland, Stubbs - will be ready to replace Dunn. They won't hit as many home runs as Dunn, but they should have similar OPS. - 757690, July 22, 2008

Alonso will be playing 1B for the REDS and batting 4th one year from today. - Kingspoint, July 9, 2009

Heck, with these fantasy trade ideas, might as well try and get Jayson Werth from the Phillies since he'll be a FA after the season. He's got a career OBP over .360, hit 36 HR's last year, and is currently tearing it up with nearly a .350 BA. He also has like 66 SB's with only 9 times being caught. Stick him in the leadoff spot and see how we flourish. He's only making $7.5M.
