    hahahaha.

I'm surprised they haven't moved Cabrera to Centerfield since he's the new leadoff man

Is that the most first inning runs this year?

Anybody else notice Phillips stare at his line drive and jog slowly?
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

I learned that lesson last year. :O) Wasn't until a few innings later that someone pointed it out. *grin*

Great job by Votto staying back on that slider.

That was a great play by Ramirez on Bruce's ball.

    Re: 5-8-10 Cubs at Reds

    Reds 1st

Cabrerra lines a single to center.
Phillips lines the 1st pitch right to Byrd in center.
Votto HRs to dead center....SWEET: Fireworks already!
Rolen Ks on a check swing.
Gomes lines a single to left.
Bruce pounds a hard grounder the other way, ARam dives and gets it, but the throw is late: infield single.
Stubbs Ks looking at a 90 mph fastball.

Gorzelanny threw 23 pitches in the first.

    Reds 2, Cubs 0.
