Maybe the Reds have been watching Louisville play the last few games. :O) I don't care how it happens, as long as the sticks come alive. Against the Cubs & Zambrano is just icing on the cake.

If you are going to sign a guy touting his defense, he should at least be a good defender. I said it in the off-season and was roasted for it, but Corky Miller at league minimum would provide better defense and allow for more cash to be thrown at other spots. At this point, Corky may even be a better hitter.
I don't think it was a bad move at all, especially with the spanish speaking hurlers the Reds have. Hanigan should just be catching more than half the games, that's all.

I'm a huge Corky fan. Honestly. Loved his hustle win he was up here in Sept. last year.

Go Corky! Would love to see Hanigan and him split catching duties 80/20.

Dear God with the Ramon hate.

    .279/.405/.344

I'll take a .405 OBP from my catcher.

    Hernandez has 61 ABs.
    Hanigan has 44 ABs.

    You need two catchers.

    Meanwhile, Corky's career line:
    .179/.268/.284/.552

    Make it stop.

Yeah. Was half-kidding about Corky. I am a big fan and love the hustle, but he's just not a major league baseball player. Haven't noticed Ramon walking a whole lot, but with a .279 BA and a .405 OBP, he has to be.

I love to read the opposing team's paper to get their perspective on our games. The Chicago Tribune's headline was "Piniella sticks with Dempster, and Reds' Votto sticks it to Cubs." Interesting article about the decision to stick with Dempster and Lou finishing with, "The kid's a pretty good hitter."
