Rest of the batters. Your right Edabbs, Votto is just plain mean. He'd be dead ringer for Beat the Streak tonight.

Ohlendorf is apparently still coming back from injury too, so if the guys can be just a little bit patient, they can run his pitch count up too high and get to the (probably very tired) Pirates bullpen. I like our chances during this series knowing that the guys will be playing with chips on their shoulders from getting swept in the last series.

Bold Prediction-If anyone is on base in front of Joey at any point during the game, he'll be intentionally walked by the Pirates. I hope I'm wrong but Joey seems to feast on Pirates pitching and they have to know that too. Hopefully Scott breaks his mini-hitting slump tonight.
"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

Love Bruce in the 5 hole, I expect the offense to do well tonight. Hopefully they can show some patience.

Wouldn't have minded seeing Heisey get the start in left

I wouldn't have minded riding the hot bat in Gomes. Seems like whenever someone gets hot, he gets a day off. Happened to Bruce not long ago too. So I guess Janish need to hope Cabrera gets hot.

    O-Cab grounds out to short.
BP fouls out to right field on one pitch.
    Votto flies out to center.

“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Marty praising OCab defensively. Really Marty? Fundamentals...okay, he's fine. Range...major concern.

LaRouche foul ball really shows off all of those Pirates fans in attendance.
