Why would it count against a pitchers whip when someone reaches on an error?Tracking fantasy as I watch and noticed this.

    Reds 5th:

Javier Lopez in to pitch for the Bucs.
Phillips flies out to fairly deep center.
    Votto grounds out to short.
Rolen hits a nubber in front of the plate, Doumit throws him out.

Lopez at 13 pitches in his first inning of work.

    Reds 1, Pirates 0.

Well they still have it counted as a hit, if you're talking about Arroyo.

OK, I finally got here to take part in the game thread and hopefully my presence gets the Reds bats working better. If any Pirates score in this inning I'm outta here though....I don't want to be the jinx, LOL

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

No one is happier about Clement's single than the Pirates scorer.

    Pirates 5th:

    Milledge Ks swinging.
Clement lines the 1st pitch into right for a clean single.
    Cedeno pops out to Phillips.
    Lopez pops out to Nix.

    Arroyo at 69 pitches.

    Reds 1, Bucs 0.

I got here after that happened so it's not my fault. (Oh wait, are you talking about Clement? OK, I can take blame for that but I wasn't here for the error/hit/whatever that was in the last inning, LOL)

No Pirate scored a run so I guess I can stay. I swear the last time I came late to a game thread the Reds gave up like four runs or something, LOL

Yeah, they changed it. It's moot now, though.
