Wow, that one hit looms very large right now. Great job Johnny!!
"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

But he deserved it. Cedeno hit a dinger off him last time they played the Bucs.

Janish goes 0-4, something you could expect to see if he got regular playing time.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Plus he owns the one hit tonight.

Reds sit down 1-2-3 in the 9th. Now lets see if the Buccos will follow suit.

After sitting for a month or so...you could expect Joe DiMaggio to go 0 for 4. Kinda unfair to point him out after that kind of layoff.

Cueto's first career start was more "dominating" than this one, IMO.

I'm not basing it just off tonight though, he hit .211 last year with regular playing time. I'm just pointing out that just because he's gotten some pinch hits doesn't make him the 'savior' at SS like some people feel. Janish is fine for what he is; a backup.

There is no such thing as a pitching prospect.
