2 innings, 20 pitches from Homer. I just can't get over the change in pitch efficiency of late...not just today and yesterday...but all week.

Saturday I was at my friend's house and he said, yo vp, take a look at this. He had just opened the garbage can at noticed right at the top, amongst the throwaways from the grill trimmings, a particular slice of onion. He showed it to me an I squealed, because this onion is quite freakishly the shape of a Reds C. I said I was going to put it on ebay and took it home. Didn't think much of it in any kind of superstitious sense, especially given the 14-7 drubbing the Reds had just suffered the day before.

Dang team hasn't lost a game since. Do I have a magical onion slice? I think maybe I do. (My friend is so upset with himself. He is a Pirates fan.)

Obviously the Reds have to lose at some point, so I am trying to assign another deeper meaning to the onion. Maybe the Reds won't lose to the pirates again this year? Or maybe ever?

Seriously, I would send that pic and story to the Reds PR department.

    Rally onion, I love it!

The Pirates TV announcers on Montreal: "That was a very bad place for baseball."
There is no such thing as a pitching prospect.

VP, you may have found something to deflect the Reds' "stink".

Dare we hope that the more foul it becomes, the better the Reds will play?
School's out. What did you expect?

Hopefully it doesn't end up making the fans cry.

Only problem for me is that I am allergic to onions. Like have to go the hospital and get a shot or die allergic. But I'm still behind it 100%

I go away to heat up my lunch and I come back to the Rally Onion. I think I love it, LOL

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”
