    Not another topic on booing....

Ernie Banks is throwing out the first pitch tomorrow.

I feel obligated to show class [what little I may have] since its the Civil Rights game and all that. However the Cub hater in me would really enjoy the opportunity to boo him.

Yes this makes me a bad person I know, but does anyone blame me? He's a Cub!

Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
    Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
    Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13
    University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
    Cincinnati Bengals - None
    Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98

Don't boo him. Just hold up your "1908" sign and have some class. ;-)

Growing up, Ernie was one one heck of a ballplayer.

And waaaaay back then I had no need to hate the Cubs either. We had the other guys in blue called the Dodgers.

And let's not forget..... Chuck Harmon, the Reds' first African-American player and author Marty Pieratt will sign copies of a new book called "First Black Red," from 4:30-6 p.m. at the Red's Hall of Fame.

I think if you try and boo Ernie, most folks won't get it. If we were playing the Cubs, I would ask you to bring a megaphone, but let him have his moment and remember that he never won a championship.

Go ahead and boo him Joseph. I find Ernie to be one of the most annoying former Cubs around.

I can't believe anyone would think about booing Ernie Banks.

I wouldn't want to boo because it's Ernie Banks but I would because the opening pitch is being thrown out by someone with no affiliation to the Reds.

Same here. I've come to hate some cubs players through the years, but Ernie certainly isn't one of them. It's the cubs FANS that I can't stand. Ernie was a class act as I remember him.
    2014 predictions:
99-63 WS champs (Cards take 2nd WC, Mil 3rd, Pit 4th, Chi 5th)
Bruce/Votto neck and neck MVP race (neither takes it)
    Bailey CYA winner
    Hamilton ROY & GG

That was my thought Randy. Perhaps that means were just old fogies.

A former Cub throwing out the first pitch in a Cards-Reds game being played in Cincy...

Someone lost a bet didn't they?

They had half the starting lineup from any given NL All-Star Team from the late 50's/early 60's there last night--Ernie Banks at SS, and the outfield of Frank Robinson, Willie Mays, and Hank Aaron.
Eric Stratton, Rush Chairman. Damn glad to meet ya.

I did not boo. I clapped even.

Was great to see all those legends both MLB and Negro leagues there.

Same here. I can't stand the Cubs but there's no way I could bring myself to boo Ernie Banks.
    I miss Adam Dunn.
