He’s ready now, no reason for him to not be with the big league club beginning this weekend.

With India getting dinged up tonight he could use a break. Bring Steer up and put him at 2B for a run and see how he does. Already giving Barrero his shot might as well do same for Steer. I think he can at least be as good as Kyle Farmer.

Throw in TJ Friedl who cannot do worse than Aquino although he has been disappointing this year.

I do think that Steer will be up pretty soon.

If we bring him up, where do you play him? DH? India won't take kindly to his playing 2B. We don't need India ticked off any more than he already is

India is ticked off? Why does India get special treatment? Because he won rookie of the year? Old news.

He could play 3B on the days India is healthy enough to be in the lineup, 2B on the others.

His body language isn't looking too good these days. What position should Steer play for the Reds?

Does he have experience playing 3rd? Does he have the arm for 3rd base?

2b, 3B DH. All three. India and Farmer have been dinged up. Farmer will still get a few starts at SS. Get him up and play 4 or 5 days per week. Give Farmer a try in LF once in a while. Farmer is a lefty killer in addition to being a versatile glove. Next year his role should be, somewhere in the line-up against LHP and he may need multiple positions to do that. Votto should probably sit against LHP. Right now this team has Votto, India, Stephenson (on the DL) and Farmer. Those are the position players that I consider big league caliber players (Solano, but he's a FA after the year). Barrero will be on the team next year maybe Senzel because the OF is wide open, but he certainly hasn't earned the position. After that, it's wide open. Why not get a look at Steer? He's the most ready prospect they have at the moment.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

Where is all this India is ticked off coming from other than well he’s upset over the constant injuries. More assumptions made on GT about his body language and stuff like this. The only assumption is he’s upset over not being healthy. That’s more of an assumption based on fact than he looks unhappy. He does not want to be here.

India could probably use time at DH to not get more worn out. And at this point everyone can be looked at to be replaced if there is someone better.

I think Steer should probably play 3rd. However, India got hurt last night, no issue with getting Steer PT at 2B, 3B, etc.

As for India's body language. He doesn't have remotely the body of work or experience to start acting pissy, but that is the first i've heard that.

Yes, Steer has the arm for 3B

India should be ticked off at his -0.5 WAR and general crummy play this year. Acting like India is some kind of star the Reds need to appease is laughable. If he doesn't start playing better in 2023 his job is in jeopardy when guys McLain, Elly, and Marte are big league ready to go with Steer.

I’m willing to give him a sophomore slump/injury riddled year pass. But he needs to pick it back up. IMO, it looks like he’s pressing and is trying to pull everything.

Who gives a crap what India thinks or how he feels.

What's best for the organization is all that matters.

India needs to prove himself every year with what we have in the pipeline.

It's BS handing jobs to guys for poor play. Senzel needs to go. India has a lot to prove.

Kyle Lewis just got sent back down to Tacoma....again,...along with Kelenic. He had as good of a Rookie year as India did.
