Just because so many of you asked, I’ve solved one of life’s great mysteries, based on questions asked about it.
The question? “What does Arthur Rhodes draw on the back of the mound when he comes out of the bullpen and before he pitches.”
I've been wondering this since we signed Arthur. :O)
And the best lines of the article....
Gotta love Jonny. :O)Gomes had two infield hits Friday against the Cardinals, both times running far down the right field line after crossing first base before coming to a stop.
“Takes a lot to stop 230 pounds,” he said. “I need a lot of runway.” Asked how many times he has had two infield hits in one game, Gomes said, “My guess is never.”
QUOTE OF THE DAY: Gomes, watching the Cubs struggling against the Pittsburgh Pirates Saturday afternoon: “The Cubs need this one like they need air.” (The Cubs lost, 4-3).
