Line drive to the pitcher and no damage done. Brewers have a runner on third with one out in both innings and have yet to cash in. Actually, the Reds did the same thing in the first.

Someone was asking if we should trade for a #1 pitcher.

Cueto is a #1 pitcher. His last start indicated as much.

These two innings are also showing why he's a #1 pitcher. He's had a little trouble, but he's gotten out of it with good pitching, while still keeping his pitch count down to 31 pitches in two innings.

What an at bat by Jay. I'm loving this kid right now. Down 0-2, didn't chase anything, and draws a walk.

All those breaking pitches the Cardinals threw Stubbs may still be in his head, because he looked at a fastball right down the middle.

It's natural for the REDS to have a letdown tonight after the emotion from this weekend.

It's a game like today where the Veterans make a difference.

But, it's still going to come down to starting pitching, defense, and some timely hitting.

Right now it's bad luck. 1st and 3rd, 1 out, Rolen hits a rocket right to 3rd base. Man on first, 2 out, Hernandez lines out to 2nd. A few feet in either direction and this is a different ballgame.

Weeks just made a great catch there. One thing to remember here is that we are going against a #1 pitcher. We can win this though

I didn't see it as below the knees, at least to the naked eye.

At the very least, it was close enough to take a swing at with 2 strikes.

An amazing confidence being displayed by REDSZONE game thread contributors. For so long it was a blend of disappointments, second-guessings, and atta-boys. Now, it's just a blend of atta-boys and off-topic subjects.

It's so cool to have 5 quality Starting Pitchers. Every night we're in the game.
