Yeah the walk off grand slam to win a playoff series for the mets, circa 2004 deemed a walk off double in the scorebox since the player (forget who) got mobbed at 2nd and never made it home to be declared an official grand slam. Didn't make a difference in the outcome, but an interesting footnote.

They might not have any problem filling up the ballpark for that Memorial Day Cardinals game.

As Marty said, love the win, but it is kind of sad to see Trevor Hoffman's career coming to an end so poorly; he's been really, really, really bad (yes worse than the pirates ) Of course I'm happy to see him crumble vs the Reds considering how many doors he's slammed on them on the west coast, but he may be better off retiring tomorrow.

Carlos Fisher looked horrible today though. I have never seen anyone so uninterested in people on base. He gave the Brewers second base twice by just not paying attention to them. He also did not give many looks to Kotteras on second and he is lucky he didn't swipe third.

That said, I love Scott Rolen - wow, just wow!

Checking out the replay of the Votto game-winner, Hart hesitated before he threw the ball in, as if he thought the run had already crossed the plate. I'm sure Heisey had to hold up in case the ball was caught. Not that it matters now, but I'm curious if Heisey would have scored if Hart got the ball in quickly.

Hoffman is making $8M this season. I don't feel all that bad for him. Its the Brewers who are running him out there in that capacity.

It is funny I was just thinking the same thing. I have been tied up at work all day and have only been able to see the score occasionally. I saw they were down 2 in the 9th and just saw that Votto won it. It is early but it definitely reminds you of 1999 in that every day this team seems to find a different way to pull out a win.

Me and a buddy had just pulled into my driveway from work around the 8th inning. We were standing in the garage DRINKING ICE COLD HUDY and listening to the game. We thought for sure the Reds were gonna finally lose one.

Man what an ending. Is this team for real? Ya gotta love it!

That's what I thought. But I was jumping up and down quite a bit so I figured who knows.
