Carlos Fisher and his 12+ ERA get the win.

    weird.

Who would balk at paying to see these guys play? They win and they're a fun team to watch

I've been in and out of the thread all day ... when I saw "this one belongs to the reds" I thought that I clicked on yesterday's thread by accident.

What a win!!! Some excitement at the ballpark today!

Boy did I ever make it home in time. :O) Just a fun team to watch. And just think of how depressing it was in these game threads just 2 weeks ago. *grin*

And Trevor Hoffman's ERA of 13+ with the loss. I never thought I'd see his ERA that high. He was lights-out in San Diego.

Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

I log off for ten minutes, thinking the game was in the bag for the Brewers.

I honestly can't believe the Reds won this game. Didn't hit a lick for most of the game and came back in the 9th inning to win it. This is simply an amazing team. I try to remind myself it's not September.

It's funny being at work downtown, not being able to follow the game much, then hearing the fireworks about the time you expect the game to end. Really cool.

I was pretty sure that game was over. Shame on me for thinking that.
