    2010 Redszone Mock Draft Information

Well boys & girls, it’s time for the Redszone 5th Annual First Year Player Mock Draft.

OnBaseMachine was kind enough to run the mock draft for us the past four seasons, but due to some outside commitments he’s passed the Throne of Mock Draft Power over to me for 2010, so let the fun begin.

For those not familiar with the mock draft, each year we allow Redszone users to become the GM/Farm Director of one of the 30 MLB teams and select who you think that team should draft.

My intended schedule this year for the Mock Draft– due to the actual MLB Draft being moved up several days and on a Monday this year - is to start the draft in the middle of next week. It seems that we’ve averaged just over a week the last several years. So the early plan is to start sometime on Wednesday May 26, with the long Memorial Day weekend in between, we should be able to easily finish before the weekend of June 4. We’ll be mock drafting the first three rounds, plus the two supplemental rounds (1st & 3rd) for 115 picks in all.

Here is the links to the previous year’s Redszone Mock drafts for historical reference.

Any of the teams are available for you to showcase your GM Skills in. Using my Ruling Iron Fist of Power ™ and in deference to OBMs running this ship the last couple of seasons, he’s going to pick for the Reds. I will run the Angels draft.

Otherwise, there are 28 other teams available. Please list your team choice below. Teams will be given out on a first come, first serve basis. Please only sign up if you intend to be present on Redszone during the week of May 26, or will Private Message me with a list of your potential choices. Picks not made in a reasonable and prudent time with be assigned the Best Player Available per the Baseball America Draft Rankings.

I will take the Pirates again.
The Sox traded Bullfrog the only player they've got for Shottenhoffen. Four-eyes Shottenhoffen a utility infielder. They've got a whole team of utility infielders.

Re: 2010 Redszone Mock Draft Information

Would love to take part once again but just started a new job last night so think I'll just spectate this year. That said wanted to make a request to those who do it this year, could ya provide a little bit of a scouting report on those ya draft? Kind of helps give us something to go on for the real draft in a couple weeks.

    I'll take the Padres

because that's who I'm switching to if Baker gets resigned or extended
More often than not, when someone is telling me a story all I can think about is that I can't wait for them to finish so that I can tell my own story that's not only better, but also more directly involves me.
