A lefthander named Luis Gonzalez started and won for the VSL Reds today. His line was 5 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 3 K. The really interesting thing? He turned 17 less than two months ago.

I've been noticing that. I think his slow start was the only reason Cairo is still a RED. If Sutton keeps this up a couple more games, he should get the call and Cairo should get the boot. They've played Sutton at 1st Base the last couple of days in preparation for this move.

Agree completely. Having a guy who can hit lefty to sub for Rolen and Phillips and also hit righty to sub for Votto makes him much more useful than Cairo. Sutton is probably a better hitter as a major leaguer as well.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

Balentien has started looking good too.
And apparently, Adkins has lost closer status.

Del Rosario has been really impressive.

It's tempting to want him in the Majors, but I don't want his growth disturbed by too soon of a move, either.
