I'm more inclined to think that he's a young power pitcher, and the odds are he, like many others, are going to suffer injury sooner or later.
Benzinger backing and calling! And the 1990 world championship series belongs to the Cincinnati Reds!

    A year later? Doubtful.

Injuries happen. Throwing the baseball is unnatural. All it takes is one pitch to sustain an injury. Because he throw a bunch of innings last year you're saying that caused an injury today? That's quite a leap.

If it's the arm, DL him. Starting LeCure or Maloney for two weeks won't make or break the season. Rushing Homer back and maybe losing him for 2 months could.

Too bad Micah won't get a few PAs during this outing today.

    And if it's just cramping...we're worrying about nothing. I agree that if he's injured...DL him...and that's what they'll do.

They show up the following year. That's basically what the 30 IP increase at a time theory points to.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

Are they playing video game noises in the ballpark every time an Indian scores a run??!

The theory has absolutely very little behind it. It's a stretch. Guys like Tom Verducci have provided nothing that points to causation.
