Bad baserunning there. They should've been able to tag there. Well, 3rd at least. Not sure what he was doing halfway down the line there.

That first pitch to Duncan was a perfect pitch. What a terrible umpire.
This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.
Duncan singles to center. Tie game 2-2.
Darn. Single to tie it.
Hopefully this is like Homer's last outing where he gave up two runs in the first inning and didn't give up anything else the rest of the game.
Oy, I forgot how annoying that stupid drum is. :wall:
"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search
An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”
It's pretty toughto complain about being squeezed when Homer misses to Duncan like that.
"This isn’t stats vs scouts - this is stats and scouts working together, building an organization that blends the best of both worlds. This is the blueprint for how a baseball organization should be run. And, whether the baseball men of the 20th century like it or not, this is where baseball is going."---Dave Cameron, U.S.S. Mariner
Valbuena flies out to center. 2-2 after 1.
Inning finally over. Hopefully Homer and Hanigan touch base with Bryan Price and figure out a new game plan.

This could be a short outing for Homer. It seems the only pitch he can throw for a strike is a fastball.
I think I like the 93mph Homer Bailey fastball a lot more than the 95 mph one. Straight heat in the zone is not a terribly effective approach.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.
Bruce flies out to left as Duncan makes a running catch.
Heisey grounds out to 3rd.
