Some very nice starting pitching tonight, in addition to Reineke.

Lynchburg won 1-0 behind 7 innings of 3-hit ball from Matt Fairel (and relief from Sean Watson and Justin Freeman).

Dayton lost 1-0 as Justin Walker went 6 innings, giving up 2 hits and 1 unearned run, with 6 K and 1 BB.

For the VSL Reds, who lost 3-2, barely 18-year-old Oswaldo Mieres worked 5 innings with a line of 3 hits, 1 run, 1 BB, 4 K. For the season now (two starts), the totals for young Mieres: 11 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 11 K.
