The Pirates selection is hinged on wanting a player with great physical tools, and leadership potential, they were enamored by his workouts and interviews they have done with this great player. He is a former national player of the year who led his team to two national championships. He is a great character guy. Questions about his arm strength and accuracy limit him to playing a LF/1B. Therefore the Pittsburgh Pirates select:

Really like this kid, great potential as a two-way player, as an athletic, speedy CF and also a pitcher that hurls at 90+. This is the type of athlete that the Royals would love to add to the system.
