Hopes for a memorable Memorial Weekend/Day for all.
Thank you to all who have performed bravely in support of this Great Country.
Truly the greatest and bravest Americans are those who choose to serve in our Armed Forces.
Indeed, you all have my most sincere thanks. God bless.

I'd rather listen to Kelch read the phone book than suffer through Thom Brennaman's attempt to make every instance on the field the most important event since the discovery of manned space flight. -westofyou

Before the 2006 season, a replica of the "Eddie Grant" memorial was placed near an elevator on the left field side of the ballpark, which is visible from outside ATT Park. The original granite monument, which honored the only MLB player killed in WWI, was five feet high and stood in center field of the Polo Grounds at the base of the clubhouse wall.
I wonder what percentage of that 500 saw combat?
