    Tuesday, June 1st minor league updates (Chapman pitching)

    Louisville - 6:35 - LHP Aroldis Chapman

    Carolina - 7:05 - LHP Alexander Smit

    Lynchburg - 7:05 - RHP James Avery

    Dayton - 7:00 - RHP Pedro Villarreal

    The VSL Reds were postponed and the DSL Reds boxscore isn't up yet.
    I miss Adam Dunn.

    Chapman is coming off his best pro start and has thrown 10.2 consecutive shutout innings. His last two starts: 10.2 IP, 6 H, 0 R, 4 BB, 14 K).

    I'll be down at beautiful Huntington Park for Chapman's start tonight. 12 rows behind the Bats dugout, so not a great vantage point to see his movement, but I'll give any updates I see as important, including speed.

    I feel like two or three more dominating outings and we may see him in Cincy by the end of the month. However I would still like to see him get some more seasoning.

    I dont want to see him in Cincy until he throws past the 6th inning more than once every 10 starts.

    Chapman throws a 1-2-3 first inning using only 8 pitches. All three outs were groundouts.

    Chapman walks the first hitter in the second inning and then K's the next batter. His first strikeout of the night.

    Harold walked the 1st batter of the 2nd on 4 pitches. Ball 4 was just above the batter's head.

    Then a K

    Then he hit 100 during a another K (the K was on a changeup)

    Then a deep drive off the left center of the wall. (1-0 Clips)
