    Your list: 2010 Draft

It is put up, and shut up time again. I hate reading the I told you so posts after the draft, with nothing to back it up. Make your list of players you want the Reds to draft, and those you don't. Please refrain from those players obviously off the board.

Those I want the Reds to draft.
    Brentz
    Choice
    Wimmers
    Whitson
    Allie
    Vitek

Those I don't want them to draft
McGuire (nothing plus about the guy)
Colon (I don't think he is a SS)
    edit: Brown and Eibner

Hugs, smiling, and interactive Twitter accounts, don't mean winning baseball. Until this community understands that we are cursed to relive the madness.

    Re: Your list: 2010 Draft

    My wish list:

    Nick Castellanos
    Chris Sale
    Bryce Brentz

If all three of them are taken then choose from this group:

Yasmani Grandal, Josh Sale, Michael Choice, Deck McGuire, Christian Colon, Alex Wimmers, Karston Whitson. Edited to add Matt Harvey to this list.

Guys who have been connected to Reds that I do not want:

    Gary Brown
    Brett Eibner

Nothing against those guys, I would be thrilled if they fell to the Reds in the second round but I do want them with the No. 12 overall pick.

    1) Brentz
    2) McGuire
    3) Grandal (but I wouldn't pay a fortune for him)
    4) Colon
    5) Wimmers/ Vitek

    Re: Your list: 2010 Draft

I would say my #1 choice would be Grandal, but news reports today say that the Royals have agreed to a pre-draft deal with him so he'll be long gone at 12.

Here are my preferred choices for the Reds selection

    Bats
    Nick Castellanos
    Justin O'Conner
    Josh Sale

    Arms
    Matt Harvey
    Alex Wimmers

In the 2nd round, I'd dance a jig if someone like Yordy Cabrera or Tyrell Jenkins fell to them, but that's pretty unlikely.

At 62, I hope Buckley is focusing in on someone like Drew Cisco or David Filak.

I still think Austin Wilson is going to be a perennial All Star. Right now he stands at 6'4'' but only 215 lbs. -- the dude is going to add an easy 20-25 lbs to that frame when it's all said and done. Not to mentioned the kid is extremely smart and came from a great family. I don't care if he'll be considered a "reach" at the time of our pick...I want him!

    1. Brentz
    2. Cox
    3. Vitek
    4. Sale

    Bats, bats, bats.

There are no solid pitchers beyond those that will already be gone (Renaudo, Pomeranz, and Tallion).

I wouldn't be too upset if the Reds drafted Wilson at No. 12. He's not near the top of my list but he wouldn't be a bad pick either.

    Re: Your list: 2010 Draft

    1. Drew Pomeranz LHP (although there is virtually no chance he's there at 12)
    2. Chris Sale LHP (ditto)
    3. Josh Sale OF
    4. Yasmani Grandal C
    5. Karsten Whitson RHP
    6. Deck McGuire RHP
    7. Michael Choice OF
    8. Christian Colon SS
    9. Austin Wilson OF

I do not want Alex Wimmers, Brett Eibner, Gary Brown or Kolbrin Vitek.
    Go BLUE!!!

    Re: Your list: 2010 Draft

My list in order of preference of those I expect to be there or go right in our area:

    HS 3B Nick Castellanos
    HS C/SS/3B Justin O'Connor
    College OF Bryce Brentz
    HS RHP Karsten Whitson
    College SS/2B Christian Colon

Not sure there is anyone else I'd really, really like to take right here though several who I'd be ok with. Wimmers, McGuire etc., etc. are solid though unspectacular types that I'd live with but will be disappointed that we passed on guys like Castellanos. I don't expect to be disgruntled about passing on O'Connor because I seem to be in a bit of a minority on where he ranks and so I don't at all expect him to be a consideration for the Reds but I wish he was I think he is undervalued. As far as guys that they could take that I would hate to see Gary Brown comes to mind and Grandal who seemingly won't be there anyhow.
