Technical difficulties, delayed another five minutes.

With there being no draft-and-follow picks anymore, you have to wonder why clubs would take college-bound HS players that they weren't going to especially try and lure away.
Round 41: Jonathan Kaskow, 1B, Stanford. 6'4" junior.

Kaskow hit .328 with just one homer but more walks than strikeouts in 2010 for the Cardinal.

Mets just drafted John Franco's son.

The Mets take John Franco Jr., a HS shortstop, in round 42. He's listed as 5'7"/152#. Natch.
Round 42: LHP Mitchell Hopkins, LSU-Eunice. 6'3"/190#.

Rangers take UC lefty Kevin Johnson. 6'5" senior.
If he's got a good fastball, he's just begging for the nickname "Lightning", no?
Hopkins went 8-0, 4.14 in nine games, eight starts for LSU-Eunice with 48 Ks in 37 IP.

Another LSU-Eunice player went later in the round. It's a junior college, so my guess is that Hopkins is going to want to transfer to a larger program.
Paul O'Neill's nephew Michael went to the Yankees in round 42 out of Olentangy Liberty HS in Columbus.
A Cincinnati native, Tom Belza, went to Arizona in round 43. He went to Oklahoma State and played 2B. Looks like he went to Moeller.
