Baseball America on Reds 5th rounder Wes Mugarian:
http://www.baseballamerica.com/blog/...2443#more-2443Update: The Reds popped Florida high school righthander Wes Mugarian. Mugarian's last outing before the draft was in the FACA Baseball Classic, a high school all-star game in Florida. Here is what I wrote about him two weeks ago at that event: "Mugarian showed better velocity at today's even than he did in the summer. He was 90-92 mph in the first inning and touched 93. He mixed in a 75-77 mph curveball that he got under a few times, but he also threw some for strikes in on righthanders. The first batter of the game reached on an error, but Mugarian got the next hitter to hit a ground ball, which started a nice 1-6-3 double play. Mugarian got into some trouble in the second inning. He walked the first three batters he faced, but got another double-play ball on the fourth hitter and got out of the inning after allowing just one run to score. Mugarian was mostly fastball-curveball, but also mixed in a few sliders and changeups."

Reds 7th pick:
Jose Amezcua, RHP, Bellflower HS, CA
3 HS RHP in a row. just read Cisco's blurb on the MLB draft tracker. Interesting family history.
Dubito Ergo Cogito Ergo Sum.
College hitters, HS arms. Not a terrible trend.
Goes by the name "Tony"

Cisco's grandfather was a MLB pitcher. http://www.baseball-reference.com/pl...iscoga01.shtml
Cisco is now my favorite pick from this draft. I like guys with history. Does anyone know who Galen Cisco coached for? Could be a sleeper.
