I hope the Reds pony up for Cisco. He looks like he'll be worth the money.
The Indians drafted Hunter Jones, the son of Tracy Jones.
Reds 12 round pick:
Kyle Waldrop, OF, Riverdale HS, FL
He's got comments on the MLB.com draft tracker. A two-sport star. Waldrop's said to be the type of HS hitter that could hit the ground running and move quickly. Average or better tools across the board, with power the best chance to stand out.
Might be a tough sign.
Cardinals select Austin Wilson in the 12th round.
Austin Wilson will be a Cardinal - A Stanford Cardinal.
I know high school numbers don't mean much, but I found some for Kyle Waldrop:
His page (http://www.maxpreps.com/athletes/zla...le-waldrop.htm) also shows a .618 OBP and a .949 SLG.Code:GP Avg PA AB R H RBI 2B 3B HR 25 .506 102 79 46 40 34 7 2 8
Edit: He was also 21/21 on stolen bases.
This will not change until the Reds win the World Series.......
April 28, 2006.
Indians drafted a pitcher named Michael Goodnight - has closer written all over him, no?
