He started for their college basketball team. They beat Kansas this year in the tournament to get to the sweet sixteen.

Also interesting that he didn't pitch this season due to UNI having no team this year.
This will not change until the Reds win the World Series.......

I nominate his nickname to be Balls. Balls O'Rear.

    Or Stingy. Stingy O'Rear.

Ha! UNI apparently dropped its baseball program after 2009. The article mentioned that Lucas would like to use his remaining season of basketball eligibility- but the Reds could probably work out a deal with him.

I believe that I heard someone call O'Rear an over-sized Leprechaun. Fitting name if he is the same UNI player I am thinking of.

Wonder what they see in Wolford. He has really bad numbers.

My guess: big fastball, bad control.

    Might be a tough sign.
He isn't signed to play football any where as far as I can tell. Just a preferred walk on.
The Sox traded Bullfrog the only player they've got for Shottenhoffen. Four-eyes Shottenhoffen a utility infielder. They've got a whole team of utility infielders.

My dad got to enjoy 3 Reds World Championships by the time he was my age. So far, I've only gotten to enjoy one. Step it up Redlegs!
