Not bad. Wasn't he considered a first round talent?

Looks like the Reds are focusing early on offense.

After leading the Michigan baseball team with a .419 average this past season, junior center fielder Ryan LaMarre has an outside chance of becoming the Wolverines' first first-round draft pick in 10 years when the Major League Baseball amateur draft begins Monday night.

Baseball America ranks LaMarre as the nation's 32nd overall prospect after a season in which he had to recover from breaking his thumb in the third game of the year. In 36 games, LaMarre hit five home runs and drove in 40 runs, leading the Wolverines in batting average, slugging percentage (.649) and on base percentage (.453).
    Sounds like a good pick.

Sounds good offensively, but how is his defense in CF?

Honestly, having never seen him play, LaMarre sounds like a tweener/ fourth OF to me.

I would have preferred Paxton. (Though, to be fair, I'm a bit biased, as I've seen the kid dominate very good SEC teams.)

The Reds next pick is #94.

I have a feeling the Reds next pick will be RHP Perci Garner from Ball State. I'd rather wait and see if he'll fall to them in the 4th or 5th round.

A.J. Cole in the third round would be incredible.

Gauntlett Eldemire would be a nice pick too.

Plus Plus athlete with Plus Plus speed. Supposedly has some pop in his bat, a baseball rat with a decent arm and a legit CF.

Baseball America has him at #32 overall
