Gomes flies out to center. Reds lose 3-0.

Harang vs Sanchez tomorrow. Not too optimistic.

They're 7 games over .500 even with the "June Swoon"(currently 3-4 counts as a swoon), while I certainly don't pity the poor owners by any stretch, you do have to wonder if Big Bob looks at this and says, I can get 13K whether the teams in 1st place or last.

Really at this point, what's the financial incentive for an owner to "spend to win." Even when they do win, and are in 1st place more than a 1/3 of the way into the season, the fans say "Yeah but, they'll fold. I won't spend my money until it's a winner."

Just be glad we are in the NL Central. I would argue the Padres, Rockies, Giants, Dodgers, Phillies, and Braves are better than either the Cardinals or Reds.
This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.

I agree about ownership's thought process. But remember, your talking about 2 months of mild success (against some of the bottom dwellers in the league) versus a decade. I would think that you wouldn't see an attendance bump until 2011 if they win this year. I remember going to games in the final months of '99 where I could pick my section row and seat number.

Good pitching subdues good hitting. And that is what the Reds have faced in this series so far. And it don't get any better today with Sanchez.

LeCure has pitched very well for us. Good Job kid, you did more then was expected of you. Too bad you're gonna get a ticket back to AAA once Bailey is ready.

And that Stubb's out call at 1B infuriated me. Geez ump!

Cards lost, as well as everyone else in the divisions except the Brewers.

I just gotta say this. I think Matt Cain is HOF material.

Me too. It changed that inning. Stubbs would have scored on Phillips double and even if Joey makes an out still, it brings Rolen to the plate as the tying run.

BTW, I think it's hysterical to watch Dusty when he's really angry.
