    According to Tony LaRussa in an article on the Enquirer site.

    Just watched Suppan's game today. He only gave up 2 runs in 4 2/3, but he looked like the Brewers Suppan of the last few years. He survived mostly due to great defense by the Cards, and a few bone head plays by the A's. He easily could have (should have) given up at least 4 runs today.

    It looks like Duncan's magic is wearing off.
