6/12/10 Royals vs Reds: Need A Bounce Back Win

Royals @ Reds 7:10PM ET XM Radio 186 (Reds broadcast)

    Per John Fay's Blog:

    Cabrera
    Phillips
    Votto
    Rolen
    Gomes
    Bruce
    Stubbs
    R. Hernandez
    Cueto

vs. KC RHP Bannister (6-3, 4.50).

"There was record rainfall this morning at GABP, Reds assistant media relations man Jamie Ramsey reports via Better Off Red blog — 2.5 inches fell between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. That is the most the park has taken in a short period of time, according to Reds VP of Ballpark Operations Declan Mullin.

Field is drying out and we should easily start on time, with the rain having moved out."

Phillips goes yard to give the Reds a 1-run lead. Votto follows with a walk. Scott "Bobblehead" Rolen to the plate.

Rolen ropes one to left and Votto has to hold at third. Rolen keeps on rollin'.

Hell yeah. Hell hath no fury like a scored Red. At least that's a silver lining to losing yesterday, it seems we have great resilience and bounce back with a vengeance.

Looks like a wide strike zone on that call. Guillen singles to right on an 0-2 pitch. Callaspo called out on three pitches.

Do we need to hire Mario Soto to come fix Cueto again? Anyone else remember when he was supposed to be an All Star type of prospect?

Bouncer off the glove of the pitcher, Phillips recovers to get the runner at first as the runners move up. 4-1.

Geez. Do the Reds always have to give runs back immediately? The pitcher doubles to make it 4-2.

Cueto just needs to make smarter decisions when pitching. It's just inexcusable.
