What do you think of the Reds Home Game Start Times?

The Reds start home games at the following times:

All 45 weeknight games begin at 7:10 PM

9 weekday games begin at 12:35 PM (1 Tuesday, 3 Wednesdays, 5 Thursdays)
1 weekday game begins at 1:10 PM (Opening Day)

10 Saturday games begin at 7:10 PM (May-September)
3 Saturday games begin at 1:10 PM (April & October)

All 13 Sunday home games begin at 1:10 PM

Are these times too early? Too late?

I'd prefer they start weeknight games at 7:12.

My only complaint: I want one scheduled double header every year. My best memories of Reds games as a kid were going to double headers.
"He looked like a surfer kid from SoCal," manager Dusty Baker says. "He didn't say much, but you could tell he was cool."

They'd have to charge double ticket price, or clear the stadium after game one. can't lose that revenue, especially as a smaller market team.

I would like to see some of the evening games start at 7.35 and a few of the day games start at 2.10 but overall I like the start times.

Since I work second shift I prefer them playing on the West Coast at 10:00pm.. The only thing I don't like is 12:35 games. I think they should start at either noon or 1..

I don't know how fans would like to be greeted by rush hour when they leave the ballpark around 5 PM. Right now the 12:35 games end at 3:30, just before the traffic downtown begins to get bad.

Re: What do you think of the Reds Home Game Start Times?

Kansas City can get away with playing at 2:10 for weekday games because their stadium is in the suburbs and not right downtown. That would never fly in Cincy.

As you can see above there is a lot of variety on Saturday nights. The Reds keep their start time the same at 7:10 PM while many other clubs choose to play earlier in the evening.

Gotta give the talking heads 5-10 minutes to babble before the game starts.
