It used to be the other way around for Bruce. Seems like his hitting is the ole hole in the boat gag. As soon as he plugs a leak another one springs.

FG has a few years of experience on Stubbs too.
"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

Just from watching this game, I am less convinced that Lee is the best pitcher in the majors right now. He's darn good, clearly one of the best, but he uses his park and defense to his advantage, and probably wouldn't be as good on another team. Again, based only on tonight's game.

but it does say something that the guy we're comparing Stubbs to is the best CF'er in the game. But I agree...he's not there yet.

He reminds me of Carpenter. Sometimes he's hittable against teams he doesn't face often. Could be a lack of a solid scouting report.
