(((Joey))) (((Chris))) I hope they both have good games today and that their dads are sitting in a special heavenly box seat watching this afternoon. I really feel for the guys in this game that don't have their dads around anymore because you know they all grew up playing the game with them and probably miss them a lot on Father's Day. And on a side note, I found out earlier today that Furcal's dad passed away in the DR this morning. I think that's why they put him on the bereavement list during the Dodgers series this past week.
"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

Glad to see Rolen and Cabrera playing today. I feared a Dusty Sunday special

They need to try someone else in the leadoff spot. Cabrera's numbers are horrible this month.

No "ace pitcher" excuse for the offense today.

Yep. I hate the idea of Bruce or Phillips there but would gladly go with either and the SS to the 8 hole. Today may have been a good day to use Heisey there.

Second time through the order will tell the tale. Our lefty killers (Phillips, Rolen and Gomes) should tee off.
