2010 Reds draftees youve seen on the tube

was watching the College WS and I saw 25th pick Daniel Renken CSF pitch the other day, he reminds me of Enerio Del Rosario with the side arm delivery. His fastball is about 87-91, he can make it move but when he does he loses command, he had a changeup and a slder that had New Mexico looking foolish, his control isnt on Leake's level but it's pretty good, whenever he got in trouble he threw sliders and changeups to get out trouble

Just a heads up - Yasmani Grandal and Miami will be on ESPN tonight at 7:00 as they face Florida in the Super Regionals.

I saw a replay of the Big 12 championship game Texas AM and saw 4th pick Brodie Green, kid looks solid, played SS showed good range and had 4 hits in the game including 10 inning walkoff HR, he hit rockets every atbat also dropped down a beautiful drag bunt.

Also saw him in one of the regional games against Dartmouth, his 1st atbat he hit a grounder to 3rd and showed blazing speed to beat it out, then his next atbat drilled another line drive HR, kid looks alot like Heisey the way he smashes balls all over then can drop a ball down.

Reds like those "back from a beaning" types (see Turner, Justin).

I'm optimistic about Green. As a guy who has played both infield and outfield, I see the Reds trying to develop him as a super utility player.

Does he go by Tant Shepherd? Dude just hit an absolute bomb to left, about 30 to 40 feet past the outfield wall.

I saw earlier Sheppard had a T in front of his name. It must be the same guy. Is he a Jr or a sr this year?

This was from the draftday thread.

47th Round: Reds select William Shepherd, SR 1B, Texas

Edit: Shepherd goes by "Tant," his middle name.

This will not change until the Reds win the World Series.......

Damn. Tant is now 4 for 4.

Jungmann for Texas is impressive. Just reading a bit about him, appears to be a top 10 pick next year.

Sounds like the Reds need to sign him. He could be a huge steal in 47th round.

Reds 10th round pick Arico from Virginia gets his 18th Save. That leads the nation. Would he be a good late season callup for the Reds pen?
