Say what you will, Cochran is exactly what this organization needed (stable starter) and I am glad he is being rewarded for all those years he toiled in Independent ball. I'd like to see him AAA at some point this year. He did ok there last year and deserves the extra bit of pay that comes from the promotion.

Louisville is winning 1-0 in the bottom of the second inning. Todd Frazier is 1-for-1 with his 8th HR of the season. Cozart has doubled in his only atbat.

    Is Frazier showing a pulse?

Oh I wasn't degrading him, I just thought it was a nice story. This year's Justin Lehrs.

Dickerson is with the bats on a rehab assignment, though he was a late scratch from the lineup today. Chapman will relieve Volquez tomorrow.

Did you hear/see that on the Bats broadcast? We were told yesterday Chapman would start Thursday.

If so, not sure I like it, unless Chapman is having his innings lowered now, or is being readied for the pen. Volquez is supposed to go 90 pitches, so its not supposed to be a short start.

Unless I am reading his stats incorrectly, this will be Corcino's first start in professional ball.

Yonder Alonso just hit a solo HR - his 3rd with Louisville and 6th this season.

For anyone interested, the Carolina vs California All-Star game is on FSN South right now. Boxberger is on the roster for Carolina. Interesting watch if you're bored and would rather skip the pregame show/whatever else you're watching.
"He looked like a surfer kid from SoCal," manager Dusty Baker says. "He didn't say much, but you could tell he was cool."

Thanks for the heads up. I'm watching the game now. Julio Teheran of the Braves is NASTY.

The Braves High-A rotation consists of Julio Teheran, Randall Delgado, and Arodys Vizcaino. That's sick. That's three potential top-of-rotation arms.
