They are pushing Leake's next start back a couple of days to get him some extra rest. He will go next Tuesday. Over the weekend it will be Harang on Friday, LeCure on Saturday and then Arroyo on Sunday.

Um, this is the minor league game update. Not sure why there's a Cueto update in here when he's not in the minors anymore.
"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

Billings is scoreless after two innings. BTW, they lost the suspended game 4-3 in 14 innings.

Juan Duran is 1-for-1 with a double.

Ismael Guillon will be making his pro debut tonight for the AZL Reds. If you may recall, Guillon was signed by the Reds in that great 2008 International class. He originally signed for $625,000 but that contract was later voided and he resigned a cheaper deal after it was determined he would need Tommy John surgery. He just turned 18 in February so he still has plenty of time to develop. Keith Law said he impressed scouts in Instructional League with a 90-93 mph fastball from the left side and showed a good changeup. He's listed at 6-foot-3 so there's still som projectability left too.

The Mudcats pen comes through again tonight. Horst blew the save and Krebs flushed what was left down the toilet. Losing 6-5, the Mudcats gave up five runs late.

Mez has grown up to turn into a power hitting catcher. And the scary thing is he still has some room to grow and develop.

Nice post. The long-awaited debut of Guillon, along with the long-awaited returns of Lotzkar and Hildrenbrandt, have made this a very interesting week. Daryl Thompson is back at it, as well. Time to dust off those old prospect lists.
