Boxberger pitched an inning of relief again. Walked three and gave up a run. Carolina trails 7-2.

Boy those international signings this year are starting off nicely, outside of the enigma of Juan Duran (check his milb.com pictures. I'm 6 months older than him and he looks about 8 years older than me). Valor, Arias, Y-Rod, even Felix Perez have started off nicely

Nice game for Ryan LaMarre. 1-for-2 with a double, HBP, two walks, and two RBI.

Me either. He was pitching well as a starter. Unless they're trying to limit his innings, I would keep him starting until he proves he can't handle it.

Mesoraco entered the game as a pinch-hitter and walked.

Neftali Soto's grand slam in the 6th has Lynchburg up 9-8.

Frazier's home run numbers look very good on the year. He just needs to get some more hits and walks. Hopefully he is starting to come around.

I think it is. They're starting to limit Leake now. Chapman is in the pen now. This is about the time Stewart went to the pen in 08.

That would explain a lot. I'm hoping it is just because I didnt see any reason to why the move would happen. He was pitching pretty darn well.

Dayton won 15-10. Four hits for Henry Rodriguez, three for Thomas Nurre. Home runs for Cameron Satterwhite and Frank Pfister. Two doubles for Alexis Oliveras. Two hits with a triple for Mark Fleury. We won't discuss the pitchers.

Pedro Villarreal also seems to be in the pen now. He finished the game tonight after taking the loss in extra innings a few nights ago.

I frankly think it's a pretty good strategy. Not only does it save arms, but it gives these guys some versatility and another chance to distinguish themselves.
