I have heard nothing but good things about Inception. I need to get out and see it.

Bought Hot Tub Time Machine thinking it would be a lot better than it was...I was disappointed. Those type of movies usually make me cackle.

Personally, I really liked Hot Tub Time Machine. I liked it more than The Hangover.

Inception. Pretty good but slightly overrated due to all the plot holes. Cool effects.

Such great potential for a movie, such disappointing execution.

This is one where I think I'd be much more interested in a documentary of the "Pirate Radio" era than a fictionalized account.

Saw "Let the Right One In" based on the recommendations in the other movie thread. I liked it well enough as I was watching it, but I like it even more now that I've had time to think about it.

    The Departed
    Invictus

Caught both on a flight back from Europe, and I enjoyed both films.

Saw Inception last night. If you like special effects and action (Matrix) with some eerie twists, go see it. The idea in it is amazing

Watched Crazy Heart. Insanely good movie.

Jeff Bridges is an incredible singer, and deserved every award he got for it. Colin Farrell was a surprisingly good singer as well. I highly recommend this movie for all, and especially country fans!

    INCEPTION SPOILER:

I always have out-there interpretations of movies, but I think none of it was "real". Not only did Cobb remain in limbo, but a changed limbo because he no longer needed or desired to see his wife, but everything that happened was in one level of dream or another. I noticed quick cutting that started scenes in the middle of the action even in the "real world" scenes, and naming a character who was to create a maze for Cobb to get through Ariadne was also telling, I thought--something the subconscious would do.

I thought the movie was great, and much was left open to interpretation. But then I liked the Lost finale, too.
It is on the whole probable that we continually dream, but that consciousness makes such a noise that we do not hear it. Carl Jung.

    Inception

I'm going to go against the grain and say overrated. The movie was good, but there were plot holes all over the place, and it really was paper thin. The fact that this is now the #3 rated movie of all time on IMDB right now just shows what's wrong with modern cinema. It's being hailed as a "truly original film", but I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one who saw 1984's "Dreamscape" starring Dennis Quaid. There were some cool effects, and the acting was definitely top notch, but as for the story...I'm sorry, I just don't see it as the greatest film of a generation like so many others.

I saw "Dinner For Schmucks" at midnight last night.

It actually was a really good movie. I would recommend it.
