    Unstoppable. Very predictable, but entertaining.

Oh come on, it wasn't that bad! I enjoyed it enough--it's a decently entertaining film...

Saw a couple on a plane flight back from Europe.

Cyrus was awful. Nothing is worse than seeing guys like Jonah Hill and John C Reily trying to act.

Salt was ok. Good thriller, a little unrealistic but what good thriller isn't unrealistic.

Going the Distance was a rather good roco. Not huge fans of Justin Long and Drew Berrymore but the movie kept my interest.

Invictus as I mentioned above was not as good as I expected. I just watched the end when the rugby action got interesting.

Watched 'Grown Ups' the other night. Good Lord what a cow pie of a movie. Comedy...really?...not a single laugh in the whole thing. You have pulled something off when you collect Sandler, Chris Rock, Kevin James, Spade et al and it ends up being the worst movie all of them have made.

Figured as much. Funny People is the only good thing that Sandler has done in a long time and that had more to do with Apatow than Sandler.

Saw 'Next 3 Days' over Thanksgiving. It takes a while to get going but it's pretty good once the action picks up.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Winter's Bone. Excellent indy film about a teen girl searching for her meth-cooking father, who put the house and property up as collateral for his bail, then disappeared.

Very stark movie with a mix of professional and non-professional actors. Set in southern Missouri, but it could have happened around here in rural WV. The scene on the lake near the end is both chilling and true. Highly recommended, particularly if you don't mind a movie having nothing slick about it.

Saw it last night with the wife. Excellent movie with edge of the seat suspense throughout. Great character acting too!

excellent film. saw it at the theater when it came out. star jennifer lawrence is a louisville native, and i see she's just been nominated for indy "spirit awards".

maybe the best performance is by veteran character actress, dale dickey, as lake scene you mentioned indicates.

winter's bone will surely pick up a slew of oscar nominations.

You obviously never saw "Going Overboard" then (I think that was the name of it), it was early in Sandler's career, heck may have even been before his days on the Cosby show. Billy Bob Thorton was in it as well, but I saw it at Target for $5 and figured what the heck, it can't be that bad, its Sandler. Feel asleep for about 10 - 15 minutes half way thru, and didn't even bother to go back. Easily the worst movie I"ve ever seen, only slightly ahead of Spiderman 3

"Grown Ups" is the ultimate sell-out movie. The whole starring cast should be ashamed of having the chance to work together and turning out such drivel.

Re: What was the most recent movie I've watched? (Part 2)

enjoyed the season finale of "The Walking Dead" I won't throw any spoilers out there for those that recorded it or plan to catch it on demand, but its obvious they're coming back for a 2nd season based upon the hype and ratings and they've definently left us with many different routes they can take for season 2, wish it was starting tomorrow.

On a side note, AMC is starting "Breaking Bad" from the begining w/ 2 new shows each wednesday starting this week. For anyone that has wanted to watch that show, but wanted to start from the begining (like me) be sure to set your DVR

I heard the movie being discussed on Opie & Anthony the other day -- it's available on Netflix Instant, and I'm so horrified by the concept that I can't bring myself to start watching it.

    Was it that bad?
