Mainly just octogenarians and snuff-film aficionados at this point.

I'm sure you can buy a vcr on ebay for 5 bucks or something.

The question is: HOW BADLY DO YOU WANT TO SEE THIS MOVIE?

Not one of my favorite baseball movies but "Bang the Drum Slowly" is a pretty good movie. Bit of a tear jerker though.

Bull Durham is my favorite movie of any kind.

I have the 'Long Gone' movie on a tape around here somewhere. I taped it off HBO years ago. It is a very good movie and well worth the watch.

I still have a special place in my heart for The Bad News Bears (70's version). I would not say its a good movie, it just brings back warms fuzzies like the Goonies.

You can still buy VCR/DVD combo units at most stores. I would say there is still a market for VCR's just because there are still many people who have tons of VHS tapes and just can't afford or have the time to convert them to DVD's or buy all new DVD's. Also you can't record a lot of new movies off TV onto a DVD. I've tried to do that on a few movies for my wife and I almost always get a message saying it can't record a protected movie. I then have to whip out the VHS tape and get it that way.

Back to the topic. Eight Men Out and Field of Dreams are my favorite baseball movies.

I got 'Hustle' (the Made for ESPN movie about Pete Rose) as a Christmas gift two years back. It's really good.

I love Matthau in the Bad News Bears. Giving beer to the kids after the game - probably have to cut that scene if the movie was made today.

It's dated, but very smart about baseball. And it features an appearance by Tony Perez.

So many of my favorites have been mentioned so far, so I'll continue my campaign to get everyone to watch Sugar. It deals more with adjusting to life in a foreign country and the Dominican players' experience than baseball, but it is a beautiful movie.

I didn't see the the 2005 version. I'd guess they did cut that part. However, I am not willing to sit throught it to test my theory.
