LOLOLOLOLOL. Now that is funny. (Unless you are a Twin's fan.) Remember when they used to call the lead runner out on a double play if the fielder was anywhere near the second-base bag on the turn?
When Gradenhigher (sp, I know butcher it) said "that's Bull****" the umpire is like, "yea so?"
Hey Sparky! Indian Hill English teachers taught me everything I know!
I saw something on TV lately where a retired umpire admitted that High Def TV made them start calling the turn at 2nd base more closely. He said that they knew that with HD it was easy to slow down the replay and with a clear image see whether or not the guy touched the bag so they have started calling it much closer at 2nd.
Wow. That may be one of the worst calls I have ever seen in my life.
"He looked like a surfer kid from SoCal," manager Dusty Baker says. "He didn't say much, but you could tell he was cool."
Some things are so obvious, like the need for instant replay, that the knuckleheads who run baseball won't do it.
Eh, refs & umps are human, even the bad ones. I really don't buy into the instant replay makes it all better theory.
