You act like you have proven yourself based on one or two people not liking him. Your original point was that he was the most crapped on player on the team and that most people think he sucks and shouldn't play. That's a farce.

    You're making no sense.

the way our bats come and go sometimes is scary. i mean i could have seen 1 or 2 guys having an off day today at the plate, but holy smokes, our entire lineup was getting no hit against a crap pitcher.

And with the tough Mets and Phillies. This was one you really wanted.
Lilly is due for a bashing. His K/BB ratio is way way down compared to the last 2 years, his BABIP is a very fortunate .243, and he is much much more hittable than his record would lead you to believe. His contact rates are at career highs, his velocity is gone, people aren't swinging and missing very much. Problem is they're swinging at bad pitches. If they can manage to be patient tomorrow and lay off his junk in favor of getting pitches they can drive this is a very very winnable ballgame.

Wells is a better pitcher than Lilly right now imo, even if the ERA doesn't suggest it. Lilly is no one to be intimidated by, and I'm sure our hitters know that.

And how are you making your point besides just responding. "He does not"

    How childish is that.

He's seriously becoming a EE. Hot and cold. Cold most of the time.

A lot of people hung onto the EE is young thing for years.

i really hope im wrong. but bruce shows no adjustment at the plate. And as for his defense. As you can see in Example janish. You have to hit the ball to play in this league.

Likening Bruce to Janish is laughable man. Their bats are in totally different leagues. And Bruce still plays great Defense on top of that.

Having an EE type bat that can play as a plus defender is actually a very valuable thing. Why people don't realize that, I don't know. And Bruce is STILL only 23.

Smith really impressed me today. Made one mistake to Soto, but gave up a broken bat bloop and a jammed shot bloop for a hit. Kept his composure the whole time. The kid looks good.
