    Game #82....2nd Half Begins

    46-35 in the 1st half...

    11 games over...

    Needless to say,

I'd be very happy with 92-70 full season record for 2010.

Feel free to post stats given that

    the Reds are "halfway home"!

looks like we have 2 guys who could hit 40 HRs. (Rolen and Votto)
3 guys who can get to 20-25 (Bruce, Gomes, Phillips)
stubbs should get between 15-20 if he continues to be the everyday CF. I used to be sold on stubbs being the guy but his minor league numbers give no reason to believe he will turn his BA around.

Gomes, Rolen and Votto could all knock in 100 RBIs.

I think Bruce is going to have a HUGE 2nd half. Think Gomes' May but for the entire 2nd half

I would love it if Rolen could hit 40 homers this year but realistically I see him finishing with 28-30. Votto should be a beast the rest of the year. Stubbs will probably hit around .250 this season, very dissapointing year. If Brandon keeps playing like he is, that will obviously be huge. Gomes is still playing well, and will probably go on another month long tear sometime this season. Finally, if Bruce hits .270 this whole year, the Reds are winning the division. It looks like he is turning into the player that everyone thought he would be.

Who are your candidates to have a better 2nd half?

Me: Bruce, Stubbs, Bray, Harrang + Voltron

How about a worse 2nd half???

    Me: Rolen, Rhodes & Coco

I have always said that the Reds need to take steps to becoming the a playoff team, whether or not that happens this year. I will still be happy with a above .500 baseball team and build off of that for years to come with the boys that we have.
