Low and outside but regardless...I usually could care less about all star votes but what a total bs

Leake is all over the place to start that at bat. Good to see him come back and get the out.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Yeah I'm not going to jump on Votto for that he has every right to be pissed right now. Hope he still has it when we go into Philly.

Gameday had it at the knees.

That wasn't outside. Even if it was low, that didn't warrant that reaction.

He's not Jesus. That was beyond stupid from him.

GameDay shows the strike three pitch as a strike, in the black in the very corner of the zone, but still a strike.

You can be pissed off but don't do it in a manner that gets you ejected.

Besides with two strikes he needs to be swinging at that.

I think the ump actually was giving him a little leeway in the argument until he threw his helmet.

Exactly; the ump was going to let him go until he threw his helmet. Definitely a massive overreaction.

I agree. Votto probably was just boiling from the All-Star snub.

It's never good to have Joey out, but if he is ever going to sit it down today's the day. Let's give him 24 hours to cool down and then he'll start winning games with his bat again.

Votto deserves to be an All-Star. But he doesn't get a pass for being stupid and taking the Reds best hitter out of a game that could win them the series.

I understand that but he's also not Milton Bradley. Not like it happens much with him. Everyone has bad days.

Exactly. Throwing you helmet is a guarantee to get tossed. I thought the ump gave him plenty of rope, he could have tossed him before the helmet toss.

I understand being upset at the absurd All Star snub, but that was not a very mature way of dealing with it. I'd say 'needs to grow up" is a perfect way of describing Votto right there.

Votto is definitely a volcano. We've seen this a few times. He's mostly quiet, but when he blows, look out.
