    First 5 batters for the REDS put the ball in play on the 2nd pitch so far.

    edit...Bruce changed that looking at Ball 2.

    Votto actually missed some whackable fastballs that at bat... not missed literally, but fouled them off before grounding back to Pelfrey on a good pitch.

    It was. But from my vantage point anyway, he had David Wright struck out looking his first time up, though it was borderline, and he definitely had Pelfrey struck out looking where the home plate umpire must have been napping.

    It's the way it goes. At least that one went our way.
