Bats sweep, 1-0. Chapman with a scoreless, hitless sixth (1 BB, 1 K), Fisher with the save.

    Guess I should have mentioned that Ben Jukich made the start: 5 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 4 K.

Alonso with the only RBI in a 1-0 game. He's done that more than once.

Matthews, Jr. is a hell of a step up from Chris Burke.

    There, I said it.

I would hope 35 year old players could hit MILB pitching.

Agree. As a backup possibility in case of injury, he makes sense, particularly since it seems Dickerson's recovery timetable continues uncertain.

Hey, what do you know, Donnie Joseph threw another scoreless inning. 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K. He now has a ridiculous 0.88 ERA and 12 BB/70 K in 41 innings.

Felix Perez went 1-for-3 with a walk and HBP.
    I miss Adam Dunn.
