Hope Harang likes pitching in the big park at New Shea. I'm guessing he will.

Would love to see Cincinnati grab the first game of the series here.

A chance for Votto to show off in front of the biggest media market.

Apparently lower back pain for Harang. Wood was scheduled for tomorrow.

Thom's shirt is doing that distortion thing on my TV.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Per Thom, the Reds are "hopeful" Harang will be able to make the start tomorrow night.

BTW, Pelfrey is going for the Mets. IIRC, he shut down the Reds the last time he faced us in Cincy, and is even tougher at home. Wood might need to be on top of his game on short rest.

Big park. Tough pitcher. I'd bet the under on the Reds offense tonight

Those blue Xerox signs in the back are insanely distracting.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

20 home runs. Not an all-star.
