Yes! Awesome news!
I'll be at that Saturday game for Volquez. Looking forward to it too.

This is possibly sticky-worthy.

I assume Maloney is leaving the rotation, but have we had confirmation of that anywhere?
Harang should be back soon as well, right? I'm guessing we'll see Cueto Sunday. Then maybe Wood on Monday and Harang Tuesday?
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.
^^
What about Leake?

Oh yeah... geez. Too many starters! Leake instead of Wood, I suppose. At some point, I'd like to see Leake moved to middle relief to keep his innings down. For a team in the hunt, I'd like to see us keep our best 12 arms on the 25 man roster and figure out roles from there.

Fingers crossed here. (Well, not actually when I'm typing.) It almost seems too good to be true that Volquez came back this soon (course, he did have some help ... and lost 50 game checks as a result) and looked good pitching for Louisville. If we get him back even close to where he was in 2008, it's like trading for one of the top players on the market right before the deadline. Honestly, I am pessimistic that he will be good/great the rest of this season. I am expecting him to be average and they return to top form next year. However, I would love to be wrong on that. A healthy/effective Edinson Volquez could push this team over the top.
Then don't forget, Homer comes back too. It's a nice problem to have and I bet a large portion of the majors are jealous as all get out.
At some point in time this second half, we're going to have to pull the trigger on a deal to move some of the excess to fill some voids or improve some slots.
This is great news. So Bronson's the new ace, eh?
Saturday can't get here soon enough. I feel like Volquez will be great. I just have a feeling. I'm a believer in the symmetrical connection between him and Hamilton. Hamilton's having an awesome year, so Volquez will be stepping it up.
Besides, he's throwing 98! Price will get him pounding the zone and he'll do well.
